How do I unlock my phone that accidentally got locked??

Can someone HELP ASAP>>>> I think my cat may have accidentally locked me out of my phone.  I had it on my nightstand charging and when I woke up this morning, all I see is a black screen and the little blue notification light. My cat may have pawed at the screen (I caught her doing this earlier) and the phone decided it was attempts to unlock the phone.

ladybriann,

I want your phone up and running ASAP. Let's get right to work on this issue. Have you been able to power the phone off and remove the battery for a good 10-15 seconds and then try to power the device back up? Can you hear if there is alerts coming through? Please keep us posted.
