Insufficient funds to receive message

What is this I get over and over? It's coming from me to myself? I don't have a prepaid plan. I have unlimited texting.

It's very weird and concerning. Is it a virus?

To clarify further, I have no blocked numbers on my account so it can't be that.

Is it for all text messages or just to specific numbers?

It only comes from me to myself... so weird. But it did seem to coincide at least one time with a friend trying to send me a photo.

I finally figured out its an insufficient memory issue, not a "funds" issue. By deleting a bunch of photos and clearing my cache, her photo came through and the message didn't come again.

Now I do have my messaging app set to delete messages after 25 messages, but it's not doing that which I think is partly why my memory was full.

Ginger2019, we advise powering your device off and removing the SIM Card for a minute. Place the SIM Card back into the device after this and power it back on. ManuelV_VZW
