I have noticed some but not all of my contacts go missing after a system update. I have checked my cloud and still cannot find the lost contacts.
Very frustrating.
Where are they and how do I get them back?
Did you ever make a backup with smart switch or kies? I always try and do a backup of my phone before an update. The last time we got a update on S7 edge it did it on its own was the first time that it didn't let me update it. Do you have a backup on google and is your phone in sync with the cloud. I always seem to have problems if I backup to cloud or google. If you are not on wifi either one of them can use up a lot of my data thats why I like smart switch. I have everything right here if I ever need them. I hope you get this worked out cause I do know how frustrating this could be
I would be equally frustrated if I could not find my contacts too Suezq_44. Do you have any contacts stored in your Gmail Contacts account? You can go online to see if you can find them. You can go to www.google.com/contacts How did you view the (My Verizon App or Online) cloud?

How do we keep from losing contacts at all? I never lose all of them but ALWAYS lose my best friend's which is why I always notice. Why does this happen?
Keeping your contacts is imperative! We're here to help with your device questions and concerns. Backing up your device is recommended before completing a software update. What is the make and model of your phone? How do you usually back up your device?
