I want to install a 64gb memory card in my Samsung S4, because I have been getting occasional messages that the device storage is full. I have the following questions and concerns:
Is it easy to install the card?
Do I install it with the phone or completely turned off?
I've read that pics, videos and music can be saved to the card. Can any apps be stored on it also? If so, how will I know and how do I do that?
How do I transfer items currently on my phone to the card?
Will the pics I store on the card also be stored to my Google cloud?
When I switch to save all pics on the card, will that also save the previous pics I've taken (say from last year, etc.) or only starts saving from the date I insert the card?
I know these are a lot of questions, but I just don't want to break or delete something. Thanks for any and all help!

Thanks for the links to the info, but they do not specifically answer my listed questions.
I want to ensure all your questions are answered, Tmc75. How can I further assist?

tmc75, I apologize as I want to ensure we're being crystal clear when responding to your questions regarding the SD card for your Galaxy S4. Yes removing the SD card is simple and per the link of installing the SD card, you want to ensure your phone is powered off. Only some app data can be transferred to an SD card as some apps don't have that option. Apps may be listed under different folders, you will have to search for this content in the My Files app. The link for moving files from internal storage addresses your questions about moving apps and items you currently have on your phone to the SD card. If you switch your Camera app to save photos to your SD card, it will only save the new ones you take going forward. Any old photos will have to be transferred over manually.
I couldn't answer if your saved photos are also backed up via Google Photos as this is a setting you would have to check within the Google Photos app. We don't support Google Photos, but you can reference the link below to ensure you have your photos enabled for backup. I appreciate your time and hope this clears up the details and provides a better explanation to your questions. http://spr.ly/6580DLW8O
