I have a Samsung Note. I also installed Verizon message+ as a third party app. I used to be able to auto delete texts once they reached 100 texts. However I can not find this anymore and literally have thousands of texts. Is this function of auto delete hiding somewhere in the app that I can't find or is it no longer available?
A friend was looking for this same setting in message plus and we could never find it so would be curious to know where it's hiding. I use Samsung messaging and have that option.
Hi, David1000, we can understand wanting to get rid of text messages especially when they've reached a certain amount. To clarify, are you interested in deleting messages from your main text inbox, or a specific text thread? Is your Message+ app currently up to date?

I think they are looking for a setting like this, delete old messages. After so many texts it will delete previous messages. This is in Samsung messages but I don't see it in message plus.
Thank you for the visual, acraftylady2.
Upon further investigation, there is no feature like this within Messages+ but you can swipe the messages to the left in order to delete them.
I hope this information helps.

Thank you for sending that pic. I appreciate it. That was exactly what I was looking for.
Too bad message+ doesn't offer that feature.
They actually did offer it in the past, no idea why they took it out. My phone started going crazy, which made me notice my family chat had over 7k picture messages, no idea how many texts there were. I had it set to auto delete before so this caught me by surprise and couldn't find the setting anymore. Well that's the end of using message+, switched to the native app ok my phone. That's a super key feature most all text apps have.
