Messages+ Version 7.0.8 Notification settings will not save

I recently loaded the latest update to Messages+ to version 7.0.8.  Now the Notification settings will not save.  I only want notifications for "New messages." I turn off every other setting including "New driving mode notification," "Emoji reactions," "Reminder driving mode notifications," "Calling notification," "Glympse," "Incoming Call," and "Message+."  These settings won't stay turned off.("Failed messages,", Reminder notification, and "Background message sync" stay turned off.)  The only option I have is to turn off "Show Notifications," which shuts off all notifications.  Why can I not select which types of notifications I want and have them save?
