My wife bought it, either Amazon or E Bay, I definitely think it's been altered somehow. It shows that its supposed to be a gold phone, but its not. I'll be trying to get a return.

I have the same problem.  The phone has never updated the OS software since 3/2016.  Android version is 6.0.1.  Auto update is switched on.  If I check for updates it get the message: "Service unavailable at this time"   Or something like that.  How do I get the phone to manually check for updates?
