Note 3 major Glitches

Just wondering how to possibly avoid this stupid kitkat update.  I'm on my 3rd Note 3 (as Verizon won't let me exchange to a different phone so I have to keep getting another Note 3 unfortunately).  I have avoided installing the new update, so the phone is working great again, but I have to clear the constant request for the update every time I use the phone.  The last 2 phone became so glitchy after the update, the phone was totally useless to me.

I can't believe this Note 3 Update issues hasn't been resolved.  I even spent an hour with Samsung.....THEY WERE WORSE THAN VERIZON!!
