Notifications Bar Gone

Hello All!
My screen blocked out and after it returned after about 25 mins my notifications bar ie. pull down menu from the front Samsung at the top is now gone. I mean GONE... I can no longer drag down my quick menu tp get to the brightness, a preview of a text, clear messages etc. Has anyone had this issue?
