I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and am all of a sudden getting random ads pop up on my lock screen. It's incredibility annoying and I have gone thru all settings to make sure ads are turned off but it's still happening. It's also happening on my Samsung tablet. I have not downloaded any new apps. Is this happening to anyone else?
That's usually caused by some kind of disguised adware. If you go into your Application Manager, do you have any apps you're unfamiliar with in there that are labeled as battery optimizers or storage cleaners? They usually disguise themselves as those.
@JOSSOP53 Unwanted ads is not something we would like to see on our devices. I can certainly understand the urgency here to make sure that everything is in order.
How long have you been having this problem for? Have you downloaded any new applications? If yes, let's clear the app cache from any new/recent applications. Please visit our "Clear App Cache" page http://vz.to/2oDVHhl and follow the steps. Some applications have negative effects on the device. I would like to also clear the browsing history from your phone please visit http://vz.to/2oEchOf and follow the steps. I certainly want to make sure everything is resolved for you. We are here to help.

I just started having the same issue on my Galaxy note ultra S20. Seems like it started happening after the last Verizon upgrade. It's super annoying and they continually pop up on the lock screen period what do you advise to remove it?
