My wife and I just upgraded our systems in the last few days. Now we can't access our home wifi.

Wifi connectivity was one of the first and consistent issues users had with Nougat. It's one of many reasons I am still delaying the installation.

We want to make sure you are able to access your home WiFi service. What happens when you try to connect to your WiFi connection? Are you able to connect other devices to the network?

Jfehrhart, I would be just as concerned with issues affecting my home WiFi connection. We are here to help out. When you attempt to connect to your home WiFi, does your network name appear on your phone's screen? Just in case, what type of router do you use, and through which ISP?

Is this on both phones? Have you tried to go to settings-backup and reset-reset network settings. This will clear out the settings and let you start fresh

We replaced our router and that took care of the problem.

You shouldn't have had to do anything to resolve this. It was the Nougat update that caused it, and either Samsung or VZW should have fixed it without you having to buy a new router.
