Samsung 7 Edge- turn off the Safe mode

Completed the recent update last night and now my phone will not allow to turn the Safe Mode off. I have restarted the phone as instructed. I have turned the phone completely off and back on. I am unable to access any apps, only make/receive calls and texts.
