Samsung Galaxy S9 Android Pie update

Beware!  Samsung Galaxy S9 Android Pie update can kill your phone. I downloaded the update and it wipped out the operating system. Lost all data, apps, etc. Samsung service told me that that upgrade problem only affects a few phones and they do not know how many, why or which phones..  I asked why they would knowingly send out an upgrade when they know it will harm some phones?  No answer.

Took phone to Samsungs authorized repair center. All they could do was reset the phone which erases everything. While I was at the repair center a lady called with the same problem so there is a problem and it just isn't my phone.

If you download the upgrade, be sure everything has been backed up. Anything in internal memory will be lost if your phone is  one of those that turns into a brick.
