Samsung Note 9, problem making and receiving calls

My note 9 phone and my wife's note 9  are both having problems making calls and receiving calls. Both phones did a system update last night. With an incoming call, i  can select answer or decline, but upon selecting answer, nothing happens. Answering calls seems to be random....sometimes it answers quickly, sometimes nothing.
