According to the Verizon expanded coverage map there should be service in the 37301 area. However, service is very spotty and is not available in many areas in that zip code. There is another provider of fiber internet service which is taking business away from Verizon due to Verizon's less than average service. Can you please advise if any towers will be added to enhance service in this area before I have to switch providers?
N2MomLife, thanks for reaching out. We do want to make sure that you have the best cellular coverage for the area. How long has this been an issue in your area? How far would you need to travel to get good service? Please keep us posted.
We have to travel a good 15-20 miles before we can get a good consistent connection. There is some spotty service, however not enough to establish a good connection.
Thank you for the details. When did this issue start? Do you experience low or no service signal at these locations? Does it also occur outdoors? - VZW_ChristianP
This has been an ongoing issue. Other people in the area are experiencing the same issues of no service/ coverage. There is no service in most of the area, however at times it will be 1 bar though you cannot make or receive calls, connect to internet, or send text. This occurs both indoors and outdoors. There is not a strong enough signal to do anything on Verizon. I've tried moving around in different parts of the area and no service.
I continue to have issues with service in the 37301. In the spots where I do get some service it is very slow. Will Verizon check on this issue as the map shows coverage all in the area which is incorrect?
Verizon's map, along with the other carrier's maps are not always accurate. Verizon's map shows that my entire area has 5G. It doesn't. And I'm talking anywhere outside. Quite often these maps are only a sales tactic for the carriers.
We always want you to have excellent service. We'd like to see what's going on. We would encourage you to go through troubleshooting, so that if it's not resolved, we can file a ticket to send out a technician to test your area. Please send us a Private Note for assistance.
Piscestg,
You deserve nothing less than the truth when it comes to our coverage areas. Your device will retrieve signal from the nearest and best cellular tower in the area. As a result, it's normal for signal to fluctuate. Are you having issues with calls, text messages, or accessing data in a specific area? How's service when you leave that area?

Everything works fine outside the area. It's only when trying to access Verizon services while in the 37301 area. In other parts of the county it works fine, however in the northern part of the county service is very spotty.
