Exactly, same for me.  So I did a factory reset, and just don't install Maas.  My company's helpdesk talked to Maas, and they had me install it again, so they can check their logs (they don't keep logs).

Maas then basically said the issue is on Verizon.

I think 50% they are right, because it only started when I installed the last System Update from Verizon.

Also, the helpdesk said another person has also a Note 5, no updates waiting, and the only difference between his phone and mine is the processor.

My processor is Revision 0, and the other Phone is 2.

And then I bought mine from Best Buy, and the other phone is from Verizon.

So I will probably this week send an email to Verizon, so they can see what is going on, and also explain that Maas said it is Verizon, and maybe a faulty Update.

To reply, my issue has been resolved.

Not sure what was done.

Basically a Technical Support Person from Verizon called me, and asked me to do a reset on the phone again, and install Maas360.  They did something on their side/system.

I did that, and it actually resolved the issue.

However, last week, I restarted my phone, and for a quick 1-2 seconds, my phone showed a message, that it is in Store Demo mode.

But then it never downloaded the Demo Mode App, or changed all the settings (Maximum Brightness, Location On).

So the phone still wants to go into demo mode.  But I think either Verizon disabled the download of the Demo Mode App, or changed IP Addresses, or blocked my phone from being able to download it.

Thank you, Verizon, for actually reading these posts, and responding to them, and trying to make it work.

I'm having this problem and neither app is in my phone. I've had this phone for over a year, and I don't know about an update but my phone just started throwing a medium risk and demo mode out there.

TRY THIS FOUND on another post,,,,,,,,,Go to your application manager under settings and find Support & Protection.  Open it and press DISABLE, then ENABLE, this will reset app to factory settings.  If it's greyed out, you'll have to turn off recovery first in the VZ Protect app settings (mine is located inside my Verizon app folder).  You can then update the app to the current version in the Google Play Store, then open the app & update the virus definitions, check that your settings are how you like them, and finally, run a scan.  Worked perfectly for me.

Same here.  I'm not 100% positive, but I believe this started happening after the most recent update for my Samsung Galaxy S6 (build number MMB29K.G920VVEU4CPF4).  Verizon's own security app detects it as a 'security threat', landing it a "medium risk".  Yet, when I attempt to remove it, by checking the box (or pressing "Select All"), and then pressing "Remove", followed by "Ok" on the pop-up, I get the message, "Uninstall unsuccessful."  What gives?

This is not a demo unit.  I've had my Galaxy S6 (128GB) since it was released...I pre-ordered it directly from Verizon, & it was shipped to me from a Verizon warehouse.  On top of that, this 'security threat' had never appeared...at least, not until a couple weeks ago, and since then, the Verizon Security app detects this "threat" daily.  And I'm not the only one...my wife, who has the 32GB version, & purchased hers at Best Buy, has been having the exact same issue.  This is NOT an isolated issue, so something is going on...but Verizon doesn't appear to want to fess-up about it.

I just started having same issue.  I have not downloaded any new apps on my phone for several months.  My note5 and vz security suite keeps detecting verizon demo app as a risk.  I checked my applications an I donot have an app called verizon demo app.

Simple fix:

1. Go to your settings and search "Protection"

2. Select "Support & Protection"

3. Turn it on.

4. Uninstall Maas360

5 Reinstall Maas360

Problem Solved.
