Visual Voicemail-deleting messages

I have the premium visual voicemail.  I cannot figure out how to delete multiple messages at one time.  I currently have to select an individual message, click the trashcan and then confirm delete or swipe left and then confirm delete.  This gets time-consuming,  Is there any way to select multiple messages to delete at one time.  Verizon instructions say to click on the trashcan in the top right corner.  I do not have this option, there is no trashcan anywhere until I select an individual message for deletion

Managing your voice messages is very important! If you long press on each message, does it select it? Do you then see the trash can in the corner?
