I keep getting a message saying that there is no sim card inserte, but there is. I take out the SIM, restart the phone and the same thing could happen again in 2 minutes or2 hours. There is no consistency to it, except that it keeps happening.
Solved! Go to Correct Answer
If it keeps happening, you either have a bad SIM card, or the SIM port on your phone is going bad. I would try swapping out the SIM card. If you don't have a spare one, they can usually give you free SIM replacements at corporate Verizon stores.

If reseating the SIM card doesn't help, you might try replacing the SIM card; they're free at your local Corporate VzW store or by contacting Customer Service (*611 from your phone or 800-922-0204).
If you replace the sim card do you lose everything on your phone or does it remain as it was before replacing the card?

12Jrc789,
It is important to be sure. Nothing is stored on your SIM card other than your phone number, which would then be programmed into the new SIM as well, so you won't lose anything by replacing it. A few phones allow you to put something small like a few contacts on the SIM if you like, but that would only be there if you have put it there.
