Wi Fi Calling Issue

Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S9 on prepaid Verizon plan. Android 8.0

Issue: WiFi calling outgoing call: the recipient can NOT hear me. I can hear them.

OK:WiFi calling incoming call: all good.

OK: Calling over Verizon network: all good dialing and receiving.

I did reset the phone's network settings, and my internet wifi router/ modem.

It worked ok for a while and then it started again. When I dial over wifi the other side can not hear me.

I suspect that the most recent software update caused this issue, not sure though. Any suggestions?

Wi-fi calling isn't supported on unlocked/non-VzW branded phones.

tikibar1, Happy New Year and thank you for your response. You are partially correct. WiFi calling is not available on every non Verizon device. From my experience it doesn't work on unlocked Galaxy S8. It works OK on unlocked IPhone 6, and on unlocked Galaxy S9. Maybe my question wasn't very clear. My question is not if WiFi calling is supported. Let me try again, I will try to be more specific:

I've been successfully using WiFi calling  on my unlocked Samsung Galaxy S9 since July 2018. Prepaid plan.

I noticed that my problem started mid December 2018. It might be because of a bug after the most recent software update, I don't know. When I make an outgoing call through WiFi calling the person I dial can not hear me. I can still hear them very well. When I receive a call via WiFi calling they can hear me and I can hear them. I did try through two different WiFi networks. I did device network reset, I did phone soft reset. Non of these helped so far.

(OFFTOPIC: I ve always wondered why would Verizon restrict wifi calling on many devices since we live in a world of TMobile unrestricted wifi calling, FB Messenger, Skype, Whatsapp, Viber...)
