annoying text messages

I keep getting text messages on my android phone, at least 10+ every other day. took it to verizon store. waste of time. suggested I get a better spam blocker. doesn't work.  Messages have different numbers with   vzwpix.com attached to it. no way to block number. because each one has different number.  any suggestions?  I don't open or respond to any of them.

Blocking Individual Senders on Android Devices

1. Open the default messaging app.
2. Tap the message of the sender you want to block.
3. Hit the three vertical dots in the upper right corner.
4. Select Block contact.
5. Hit Delete conversation in the pop-up message and confirm by selecting Block.
