***Announcement: Early next week, we’ll be merging the current Fios and Wireless Communities into the all new Verizon Community! Beginning the evening of Sunday 12/4, both Communities will be placed in read-only mode. You’ll still be able to visit the Communities and browse content, but login will be disabled. On the afternoon of Monday 12/5, all users will be able to log into the new Verizon Community. We expect the new Community to be fully functional the morning of Friday 12/9. how do i disable the update? I do not need the update, and i do not want the update. why fix what is Not broken?

I don't think there is a way to disable the update.  You can temporarily prevent it from downloading, but eventually it will download and install without any input from you.

I think I have seen another user on this forum say he went to a Samsung Experience store and they were able to roll back the update.

You can't. The samsung exerience store may be able to roll it back to a previous version, but on stock firmware, you cannot stop OTAs. You can delay them but eventually it will install on it's own.
