draining battery after a full charge samsung galaxy 9+

anyone having issues with there samsung galaxy 9+? It will not hold sa full charge for more than a few hours. I have closed my background apps, deleted some apps and put have it on optimization all the time. Verizon support told me to do a factory reset. I thought if anyone had other suggestion first

Yes! Ever since the latest update I can't hold a charge.  My husband has the same phone with  the same problem.  I went from charging it at night to charging it at least 3 times a day!
