how do I get visual voice mail on unlocked Samsung S8

Bought the Samsung S8 directly from Samsung and added it to my Verizon account.  Basic Voicemail doesn't give me any alert to messages left.  Premium Visual Voicemail is no better.  What's up?

You need a block of visual voicemail on your line in order for the notifications to work with the basic non-visual voicemail.

golfnutzaz, voicemail is an important feature to have working. I never want to miss a voicemail notification so I understand the importance to get this working for you. We are here to help find a resolution for you. Can you please explain in more detail what you mean about: Basic Voicemail doesn't give me any alert to message? What happens when you try to use your visual voicemail?
