Could not find youmail installed, but Verizon is charging me $2.99 for this service. Your response assumes I installed something on phone when I didn't. The only reason I knew I have this that tells people I have this service when I have missed their call, and they ask me about it later.

You mail is an app in the android store, look it up. If it's not installed then you don't have it. The cheapest paid plan from them is $14.99 a month., they have a website with plan prices. I don't think Verizon has anything to do with them. Does it specifically say the $2.99 is youmail? It sounds like you are paying for premium visual voice mail at $2.99 a month from verizon. If you don't want it cancel it. Can find cancel instructions here.
