I keep getting pop-ups telling me I can switch to WiFi calling.
When I read the 'more information' page There is no information on how this will affect my ability to make or receive calls if my wifi is off or if I am not in a wifi area.
Does anyone know how this would work?
If you turn on Wi-Fi Calling, you can still make and receive phone calls while you are not connected to Wi-Fi, as long as Airplane Mode is turned off and you have good cell reception. Keep in mind that the amount of signal bars that are present are not accurate indicators of service quality. Although the Wi-Fi Calling FAQ's page does not mention it, you can also send and receive SMS/MMS messages over Wi-Fi.
