voicemail notification

I decided to check my voicemail today and found that I had 4 voicemails that I had not received a notification that I had, two of which were from my place of employment. How can I make it so my phone shows that I have a voicemail?

Have you opened the voicemail application yet and setup your preferences?

Did you recently switch to the Samsung Galaxy S9? If so, was the previous phone an iPhone?

Its definitely important that you receive voicemail notifications, Fawnie23505. I want to make sure that you don’t miss any important calls. Ann154 did ask some good questions, and I have a few more to gather some information. When did you last receive a voicemail notification? What zip code are you located at? Do you receive notifications for missed calls?
