I've been experiencing delays in receiving all forms of text messages via the Messages+ application since Sunday, September 11th 2022. In my 15+ years of having Verizon I've never had this issue before. I've worked with at least 4 agents at this point and the resolution is always temporary for the time of the call. Last night I thought it was weird that I hadn't heard from a few family members and once I opened my text messages up after 12:00 a.m. this morning text from as early in the evening as 7:07 p.m. popped up. I also have a Galaxy watch and the messages don't show up on my watch either.
Sunday afternoon messages from Saturday morning came through. I missed important notifications from my family on the status of a medical emergency. THIS IS A PROBLEM. I've done all of the recommendations, clear cache, disable messages and re-enable, turn off Wi-Fi and use Data, etc. At this point I'm exhausted with having agents practice recommendations from a manual and not really identify the problem. I'm using the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
What's even more frustrating is calling for assistance and the automated system is telling me to check my text messages for a message from Verizon and I'm wondering how in the world can I do that when MY TEXT MESSAGES AREN'T pulling though?!
This is so frustrating! Day 4 of intermittent messaging service.

Galaxy S21FE and the same issue. Mine started after the last Samsung security update. It's infuriating. Sometimes they are 4 minutes delayed, sometimes 2 hours or more. This is completely unacceptable.
ETA: I was using Verizon messages+ and it was updated. I am now trying Google messages because Samsung messages is terrible.

Good afternoon, CMD1031! We want to investigate what is happening. If you switch to the standard text messaging app on the device, does the same issue occur?

Hey, ClarkL. Were you able to get the Google Messages application installed, and tested this out?

It's not limited to the messaging system. I've tried Google Messages, Samsung Messages & I've clear the data from Messages+ and opened it back up. I thought the issue was coming to a close on yesterday and this morning around 11:25 a.m. after sending my mom a message at 8:03 a.m. her reply came in over 2 hours later.
6 other messages pulled in around 1 p.m. and when I called to see what time the sender sent the messages originally it was at least an 1 hour delay.
This is now Day 7 and I'm on my 9th agent. I've tried it all 😞

This issue is consistent across all Messaging Apps on my phone. Messages+, Samsung Messages and Google Messages. I've tried moving to each. I was an avid Samsung user but this issue is draining and I'm frustrated. I even reached out to Samsung and their technical support was CLUELESS....trying to blame me for user error and even tried to call it an issue with my network. Not cool!!! I'm disgusted.

The delays are back. This is RIDICULOUS at this point. I began reporting my issue on September 11th and here we are on September 25th with the same issue. If all the support team can offer are guesses then recall this phone and reimburse us with a replacement that works.
I'm beyond upset at this point. Figure it out and stop having us play clue with our phones. The last rep I worked with made me clean out so many messages that I deleted texts from my brother who died 3 years ago. I wanted/needed those memories.
This morning I open my text message application only to have text pull in from last night.
Do you really expect us to continue to deal with this AND pay a bill for reputable service?!

Ditto! Just a lot of guessing around. I've even done a factory reset, network reset, clear cache, clear data....etc.
It will work temporarily for maybe an hour then the delays start back. I'm on the phone now with my 8th agent this week. I'm SO FRUSTRATED!

Was wondering if peanut2484 was also Samsung.
I'm at the point now where I think I'm going to switch to a non-samsung because it looks like this problem is only samsung. This is so frustrating. I missed text messages from my boss yesterday, not a good situation.

If you are having issues with the Message + app, after there has been steps taken by reps, go into the app, and reach out to the app developer, and let them know there are issues with it, and give specific details as to what is going on, so they can resolve the issue quickly. Go the message + app it self. Go to menu> get help> report bug. *Rhonda

ClarkL, we do know the importance of needing to have your text messages delivered on time. Have there been any changes to your device when you noticed this issue (new apps or software update)? Also, have you tested out the default text message application to see if there are any delays when you use that app instead of Message+?

Same issue here, 2 Galaxy S22's, one of them brand new. This is very frustrating. I'm using Google messages, the default android sms app.

I am having the same exact issue as OP. I am using Google Messages however as my default messages and since September 11th I have been having this issue.
No one seems to know what is wrong with these Samsung Phones! My coworker has the same issue. Many day delays!!

Same issues and tried same fixes. The issues appear to have started with the latest security update. It is as if the messages are not being "pushed" and you have to be in the app or notification panel to get them, even though they're still taking anywhere form 3 to 60 or more minutes to come through. This seems to be in all messaging applications, not just message +.
