As for twitter, it can be used without accessing the web. You just need to access your twitter account on your computer, set up your mobile information and select which of your friends you want alerts transfered to your phone.
Twitter by text is free. The code is 40404 that you will text to for your updates and you will receive the selected people that your followings updates through that code as well.
Since you have unlimited text, it just counts towards those numbers. I don't know about the other two services as I've never used them.
~Facebook and Myspace offer the "Update through text" services too also for free with Unl txt package.

to download ringtones to your phone. it counts as data. But, if you email them to your phone. and receive them as a picture message.. then you can save it and use it as a ringtone. you just need to use your pc to save it to and then send via email.

I have the Alias 2/Select plan...so, if I email a ringtone to my phone # @vzwpix.com, I won't get charged for data usage?
