Prepaid and messaging

Hi,

okay, for some time now I have desperately wanted to switch to verizon (I currently have virgin mobile only for convenience), however I refuse to pay a regular plan starting at around $40 when I barelyyy talk, mainly just text. So I was looking at the prepaid services and is there any way to get the "Basic" prepaid service at 25c a minute and then add the $10 messaging bundle? Or do you automatically have to pay for the $.99 a day pack. Because like I said, I don't ever talk, so the basic plan would be great seeing as you don't have to pay a daily fee.....

help please :smileyhappy:

thanks

I have the pre-paid plan and read all the requirements and there is nothing that says you can't use the Basic plan. I'm hearing impaired and use text only.

There is actually a plan for primarily messaging.  There is a per minute cost for calls, but unlimited text.  It's not listed online, but if you call or go to a store they can get it setup for you.  The exact name and cost escapes me, but I know it's there.

Oh, and it IS a postpaid (or billed) service... so you pay every month whether you use it or not.  And if you use your own phone when you set it up, you don't have to be on a contract.

Yes the plan is listed online. Go to plans, scroll down to view all plans and click it, then go down to bottom of page and its listed there.
