We would like to view our minor son's texts&calls

Our son, we suspect,  was scapegoated by his best friend and its crushed him. Who knows all the truth about it? As parents we want to get to the bottom and see whats really happened/happening and need to see his text and calls. How do we do this. I understand there is a 4.99 fee

You can see the NUMBERS he sent/received calls and texts to and from in the account owner's MyVerizon account. You will not be able to see the text content unless you look on your son's phone. If the texts in question have been deleted, you would not be able to see them.

There is a $4.99/month fee for FamilyBase, but that service would not allow you to see the text content. The only way to do so is on the phone or if your son uses Verizon Messages and you have access to his MyVerizon account userid and password, you would be able to view the content online by logging into his MyVerizon account and navigating to messaging. There is no fee for this, just getting your son's login info. A text would be sent to your son's phone indicating that someone is logging into the Verizon Messaging system for his line when you do so.

Keep in mind that any iMessages and/or other proprietary messaging platform such as twitter, instagram, facebook messenger, etc... would not be included in texting content.

Thank you so much. Would you happen to know if he has an iphone, and uses

verizon I assume, would this still work? I hate doing this but we also want

to be good parents. He's a good kid and we need to do whats best for him

and his personal well-being while balance that with age appropriate respect

for his privacy. Can't thank you enough.

Yes, if he has an iPhone and uses Verizon Messages it would still work. If he has an iPhone, it is unlikely he is using Verizon Messages. He is probably using iMessage.

Yes, you ask for the device and look on it. If the texts you are interested in seeing have already been deleted, you are out of luck.
