Does your tablet on your account have its own plan and line number? Are you logging into Message+ using that line number or another number on your account? I have an iPad with data only on my account and use it for accessing Message+ over WiFi (send/receive) using the number of my phone. Maybe this is a device issue for you?

Jav6, thanks for reaching out!
Here's how I'm using it:
My phone (Moto G) is on a vzw voice/data plan. I installed Message+ on the phone and set is as the default sms app. I turned on 'integrated messaging' setting. Text on the phone with Message+ works 100%.
My Galaxy tablet does not have ANY plan associated with it. I can only connect to the internet with wifi when available. I installed Message+ on the tablet and set it to use the phone number of my phone. I can send texts from Message+ on the tablet. However incoming texts do not show up on the tablet.

Good clarification. I suspect the Integrated Messaging feature of Message+ might only work between devices associated with the account. Maybe an agent @vzw_customer_support will chime in here and provide some info.

Yep. An official word from @vzw_customer_support would help clarify the issue.
Thanks again!

Thanks
In the above post from the VzW rep, click on their user name (vzw_customer_support in red) and you should see a pop-up box; click View Profile in that box. You should then see their profile page; click Message (below their user name and above the About Me section). You should then get a Private Messages form; fill it out and then click Send Message at the bottom.

Thank you for reaching out to us. You are able to use the Message+ app or service on a tablet. Cellular connectivity is not needed as long as you have acees to Wi-Fi and your phone. You can find more information on this link: https://www.verizon.com/support/verizon-messages-faqs/ Let us know if this helps. ~Roger

~Roger,
The verizon-messages-faqs agree with what you told me, however your fellow @vzw_customer_support members: *Joshua, *Robert (see posts) and other tech support phone reps told me that it WILL NOT work.
I hope YOU are right, and someone can help me fix my problem.

Thanks for getting back to us, and for the details. Have you tried removing Message+ and restarting, then reinstalling it? This is what we would recommend at this point, please let us know how this goes, thanks.

The version that was on the app store last week. 8.1.something... I downloaded and installed the latest version on the app store a few days ago.

I no longer use Verizon Messages (haven't used it in a number of years), but when I did, mine was set up as you indicated yours is. If the rep response about Verizon Messages not working with a Wi-Fi tablet not active with the Verizon network is correct, this is something that's changed since I was using Verizon Messages.
Have you considered using Messages by Google instead?

Messages by Google was sending and receiving ok. Issue was it was not recognizing my contacts. I sent a private message to the rep above (following your instructions). I'll post results...

Google messages was working fine. Only it was not picking up contacts from my phone. I needed to enter their # manually.

Hello Moishes, it is important to have clear details regarding your device and available services. To clarify, Verizon Messages is a feature that will work with Wi-Fi when your device is setup with Wi-Fi calling on the Verizon Network. However, we do not offer Wi-Fi only tablets. As is the case Verizon Messages will not work with a Wi-Fi tablet not activate with the Verizon network.

Thanks for the information. Is this exclusion documented anywhere?
