Just received a letter that my 2 year buncle package is going to expire on March 31st and they want to raise my monthly payment by $25.00. Just can't afford that. Can anyone tell me if there are any good bundle deals for an existing customer?
Right now I was at $89.99 for the Triple Play then add all the taxes and 2 STBoxes and it comes to $123.00 per month.
I would be happy to just stay at this rate if possible.
Is it better to go online and re-sign up or do it via a live customer service rep?
Thanks in advance.
A real person will have more options than renewing online. Online you take what the current. With a customer rep they may be able to offer you something better.

This may be true, but it's worth visiting MyVerizon first to see what's available. Find the "change my service" page and then see what's there. It should show a comparison of what you have with what you could have, and includes current offers. I just did this, keeping the same triple play which now includes 50/25 (versus my old 25/15) and got $25 off per month for the two year contract. So I didn't bother to call -- I was more than satisfied -- and did it all online. Since there was not physical change I was able to schedule it for the next day, which went off without a hitch. Oh and I got an estimated bill with an hour of making the change, and when my real bill showed up it was spot on: the new rate, the credits, and the pro-rated amounts for the old bundle and the new one.
PJL;
I did what you said and went online and logged into my account. The best they can do for a Triple Play is $104.99. That is
still $15 more than what I am paying now. Isn't there a way I can just roll over into the same deal i have had?

No. TV and internet is like everything else. It gets more expensive over time. Your only option to the online rate is to talk to a CSR and ask them if there is any way they can lower it. CSRs have the ability to offer unadvertised deals. You won't get what you paid two years ago, but you might get better than the online rate.
Thanks much Walt178 for your advice.
My two year contract was up last December.....I canceled it and went to a rival company....by the end of January I realized I missed FiOS.....called them back and they treated me as a new customer " technically you are a new customer" I was told....I previously was paying $182 for the Ultimate package....that same package now costs me $142.....
not saying you should do that but it's crazy that existing customers don;t get the same deals.
Yeah I hear you, "ConorCoen".
Just wish I knew someone on the inside (verizon) that could pull a string or two for me. I'm not asking for much.
just want to keep my present bundle price the same. I just got off the phone with a Verizon CSR and the best dealio he could do was increase me by $20 per month. This is after I have been a faithful customer for over 2 years.
sometimes it's better to do that.. rotate between best offers as long as they'll take you as a new customer.. I get ads in the mail all the time now from Brighthouse and Comcast.. even Directv and Dish Network.. you'd think they'd give us a break for being loyal during our hostage time with the contract we have to sign, or else pay a fine for leaving them.. this past time we got a $5 a month discount for signing up for another 2 years..
