Channel 1498, the 4K channel will not allow me to change my video format from 1080p to 2160p. Get the “unable to change” error, I know there is no current broadcast but during the Super Bowl I was not able to watch the 4K channel. I recently upgraded to Gigabit and it hasn’t worked since that upgrade. I was able to view the 4K broadcast on 1498 prior to upgrade.
Things I have tested include
resetting box
re attaching wires
testing 4K on other inputs, worked for Netflix
I spoke to Verizon about this problem, and they will not even acknowledge that the problem is on their end.
Did you make sure the input the Fios box is going to is setup for full color or whatever your TV manufacturer calls it? Do you see Netflix from the box in 4K? Have you tried going into the service menu of the box and forcing 4K there?
