why is that when i go into On Demand with verizon, a lot of shows are in high definition? For example, last week i was able to watch American Crime on OnDemand but today I cant watch it because it's only available in HD. i want to know if there are other people with this issue. I do not want to pay extra for HD because my bill is already expensive so do i have to get another provider?
Verizon has removed all SD VOD.
You may want to call. A HD STB might not be much more expensive than the SD STB you have now.
There is no extra charge for HD service.

Under current pricing it is the same price for a HD STB. I don't know if anyone still has legacy pricing for SD boxes which changed at least 5 years ago, or still have a "free" SD STB.
