Please help me with this problem. I have been in touch with Verizon Fios about my concern about Al Jazeera tv. It seems that this station was put on my tv schedule without my approval. I have been told by a person named Killian on the chat line {edited for privacy} that this station was included in my tv package after a market survey that indicated that Verizon cutomers wanted Al Jazeera tv. I was directed to the {edited for privacy} telephone number to lodge my concerns. I called the number and spoke with a {edited for privacy} who told me that the Al Jazeera station could not be removed from my tv line-up. He said that I could 'block it' but that I would still be paying for the station. He assured me that his supervisor would would call me within 48 hrs. When I did not recieve the call from the supervisor I called and spoke with a Sherrie (no last name given) and a Shawn (no last name needed). They both told me that I could not remove Al Jazeera from my tv line-up and that there was no one in the office (1947hrs 9/4/13) that I could speak with.. Shawn stated that there was only one way that I could lodge a complaint with Verizon and that would be via U.S. Mail. He told me that there was no electronic method to communicate my complaint with Verizon. I have to admit that I was very frustrated that I could not send a complaint electronically to a company whoses business is to provide electronic services/communications. Please advise me if the guidance is correct and if not is there a e-mail address I could use to send in my complaint. Thank You.

Oh brother, this is nothing more than an anti-Al Jazerra thread/ post. If you don't want to see it, program your favorites and exclude it.
Agreed ^ ...or simply just don't watch the channel.
I agree with you. Why can't we just choose the channels WE want. I want to pay for 50 channels and I get to choose which ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What you want are ala carte channels, something the channel providers will fight until the end of time.
I have had the very same problem - I was told I was the only one who called to complain - Sounds like they are trying there best because they think it should be on --- wonders who is paying who and how much - just saying -
there is a NY Assemblyman who started a petition to get this channel off cable - we should not have to pay for Al Jazeera America who is owned by the Islamic government of Qatar, in the middle east.
TheNY State Assemblyman's name is Kieran Michael Lalor -he is an Iraq war veteran and very much against this. You can easily find him on line and facebooks.
Amazing Verizon is lying to us.......Should we continue to pay them monthly to ignor our concerns
I would not mind it so much that Verizon decided to carry the Al Jazeera TV network if they would also offer The Blaze TV.
So much for being "fair & balanced."
I wonder what Verizon's true agenda is?
