When will Verizon start broadcasting BYU TV in HD? It is available for free so why is it not on the schedule?

You can watch on-line in HD for free at http://www.byutv.org/watch/livetv
For sporting events I just hookup my laptop to my TV and the live HD feed looks great.

NASA HD is also free and they don't carry that either. There is a very limited amount of bandwith available for HD channels (i.e. QAM space), I seriously doubt you will ever see BYU in HD on FiOS. The demand for the channel just isn't there and neither is the QAM space. Though they could free up some space if they were to dump those totally unwatched and unwatchable .tv channels.

The above is about as likely as making Flex movies $1.99, so i could afford to buy them.

Agreed!! And what is even MORE outrageous is that they are going to be adding 2 more .tv garbage channels at some point. Typical BACKWARD, could not care less about what it's customers want thinking by Verizon.
