Can I delete it ? Years ago, Cox put a banner at the bottom of their channel guide. Before long it grew to cover 2/3's of the page like a virus.

Verizon has not provided any way to remove the advertising banner at the bottom of the Guide, and I suspect they never will. I have had 1.9.5 of the IMG since Nov. or so and thus the banner, and it really doesn't bother me at all, I just got used to it and never see it now.
I don't understand why some people are bothered by it. Verizon did not remove anything that I know of to add the banner, they just moved some stuff out of that space at the bottom and put it in blank space on the left side and at the top. We didn't lose anything, so what is the big deal?

I guess its the same reason people like my father in law who say they can't read the guide at all.......6 feet from my 60 inch tv. lol They just want to find a reason to make a big deal out of nothing.
The big deal, Justin, is that the Favorites Guide, by definition, is a personal space for things that are important to the customer, not things that are important to Verizon. The color scheme and font size relative to the guide indicate that it is more important for Verizon to advertise than to provide program information. It is offensive.
Verizon in Upstate NY recently updated it's FiOS TV service and now I see a permenant advertisement being displayed at the bottom of the channel guide page, which I find to be extremely annoying.
I really dislike the way Verizon embeds advertisements along the channel guide or randomly pops up advertising alerts when accessing a menu option or its channel guide.
