When I switch from SD to HD on a a SONY KDL-40S2010 the TV screen will sometimes go blank using FIOS. I reported this about two years ago and Verizon changed ther software to make it work. The latest software download no longer works. The same problem has returned. This only happens with HDMI. I checked analog at Verizon's request two years ago and it worked.
Who do we contact to have the modifiaction restored without a lot of effort?
Long time FIOS user.
if you disable the SD override feature in the set top box, it will probably help elliviate your issue.
go to menu > settings > video settings and then choose SD override. if it's set to 480i/p then switch it so the checkmark is next to OFF. if it's already off, then switch it over to the 480p, or 480i (a little experimentation may be neccessary here)
Basically your tv doesn't like how the sd override is working, so whatever it is set to now, change it to one your tv likes.
