Blinking Menu - Nothing stops it

Flashing Menu

Hello, I have been having this problem for over a month now. I have tried everything from unplugging the box waiting 10-30 minutes, and then plugging it back in. It is still doing this. Next, if I hit anything that pulls up a menu it starts automatically selecting stuff, it has almost bought multiple on demand movies, I had to quickly unplug the box. It also like to try and go straight to the parental controls menu and just sits there. I have also hide the remote from the tv and took out batteries thinking that it had a button stuck or something, but it still keeps flashing the menu. I put a gif of what it is doing so you can see.

If this is an issue with a VMS1100 cable box, make sure nothing is sitting on the button on the top of the box or make sure the buttons are not stuck in.
