I replaced the old Actiontec router with the gigabit router (MI424WR Rev I) to get away from the surcharge for using the old router. I have no issues using Fios Mobile to use the remote feature for my STB or my DVR boxes. I cannot use the DVR manager function without getting DVR_3 or HTTP_598 errors. I'm a technical person, and figure this is related to port forwarding on the router, but I don't know if it's all on my router, or if Verizon needs to do something on their side, or both. I've looked around for automated tools too, but none appear to fix this.
Do you have Quantum or legacy DVR?
Hmm. It's not General Instrument or Motorola. It's all black. The original had to be swapped out for rebooting several times a day. It's about a year old or so. I don't recall anybody referring to it as "quantum."
Does it have a mdoel number on the front or back of it?
Or a manufacturer?
