i have a Motorola QIP 6416-2 model box. i noticed it doesn't even have an RF out coaxial, only an RF in. How do i connect my dvd recorder to it so it allows me to burn my recorded programs? is there another HD DVR motorola box that verizon provides that has both the RF in and an RF out connection? i find this very frustrating.
thanks in advance for any help
ok. i tried making the following connection and i'm getting noise on my tv.
from STB: composite video out/audio outs to dvd recorder composite in and audio in
from dvd recorder to tv: composite video out/audio out to tv composite in and audio in
is there an option on the STB that i need to change for it to output to the dvd recorder?
All of the jacks on the Verizon STB should be set to output a signal.
Sounds like you may need to switch some type of Input Settiing on the DVD Recorder to receive the signal from the STB and then send it thru to the TV.
There is no option setting on the STB. All outputs on the box are active simultaneously. Is it possible that unless you are recording the DVD recorder doesn't output anything?
Is the DVD recorder set for "Line Input" (or something similar) and in record mode (not playback)? I am assuming that the TV is set to the correct input for the composite signal (no offense intended, but sometimes the most obvious answer is the right one ).
