CBS HD Broadcast switching between HD/SD

I'm in Portland OR and last night I noticed that CBS was switching back and forth from HD to SD during the tv broadcast. This was happening with both the local and national programming. All the comercials seemed to be in HD. It was just the shows that were switching. I have seen it do this before and was curious if anyone else was experiencing the same thing?

Sounds like a problem with your local CBS affiliate.  I have had similar issues with my local FOX affiliate - particularly when they are insering things like breaking news or weather scrolls.  It can also happen if the local affiliate is having problems with their reception of the network HS feed. 

Not a FiOS issue.
