Change MR-DVR?

I have two 7216s set top boxes and one 2500.  When the service was set up, I asked that the 7216 in the living room be the main DVR hub, but for some reason the other one is set up for that -- that is, the 2500 can only access shows from the wrong box.  Can I change it myself, or do I need assistance from some Verizon wizard?

Just swap the boxes between rooms.   No technician is needed.   Just note where each cable is plugged in before disconnecting them and reconnect them to the same spot on the other box once you move it.   Since they are both 7216's, the inputs on the back should be identical.

That won't help with your presently recorded content, but anything going forward will have the desired result.   If you absolutely can't switch the boxes around for some reason, then Verizon would need to change the assignment / designation of the HM-DVR box to make it the other one.
