Channel numbers stopped showing up on Kitchen TV....beleive it is associated with box

Cable box has stopped displaying channel numbers on lower left of tv screen.
Rebooted, changed batteries, switched controllers and nothing brings the channel numbers back.
It has been working fine until 8/3/18. No physical reconfirgurations have be implimented in our system.
