I recently recieved noticed my ultimate HD would include cinemax, and the channels showed up this past friday in southeast pa, however when I attempt to get a movie from cnemax on demand today, it says not subscribed. So my question is, does the package include only the actual cinemax channels? thank you
Thanks. But what i don't understand is why if I subscribe to any other service such as hbo, the on demand is available right away. Hopefully it comes soon!
I got the same email on the 18th of Nov. I thought, "how cool is that!". So on and off I started trying to access the channels. It wanted me to subscribe.
I called Verizon, they said that I could get CineMax for something like $12.00, but not free. What I found interesting was the CSR not once suggested that the email was a scam, nor did she suggest that I send it to Verizon to check it out. But at the same time steered me to draw the conclusion that the email was a scam.
Basicly I think it was a scam that it was a scam to get you to call and offer you the $12.00 deal for the next 12 months.
Its not a scam, I actually do have all the cinemax channels and if you go to the fios website and look under the packages it says they are included, but why then is there no on demand? hopefully someone from fios can answer this because like I said say I subscribed to hbo,starz etc I guarantee the on demand would be on right away, so why not for something included in our package? an ETA would be great!
it is not a scam it was an offical verizon email and to which i have receved the cinemax channes but I too have not received the on demand part of it.
Ok folks I just talked with verizon. Here is the answer you ask for. As of nov 18th they only had a contract for the channels itself it is a separate contract for on demand they were unable to update the box at the same time for on demand. You will start receiving on demand some time this month of December as they now have the contract and it will come out with their next release.
So it came down to have the contract after they wrote the program for the initial update. As for a specific date in December even they have not been given the exact date as of today.
When I called about the cinemax on-demand , the CSR said that the only way that
it could be added was if my account was switched to digital voice. They changed it
and on demand is working ok now.
Has anyone else been told this also?
