College Football Blacked out constant problem

I live in Albany, NY.  When it seems there should be no reason to blackout a game (mainly this week -- Syracuse at Louisville).

It's blacked out on SNY and ESPN3.

Not happy with FIOS right now.

If FIOS support wasn't so terrible to try to get a hold of, i'd try calling them.

Apparently, Time Warner Cable Sports has the rights to show this game in your area. Calling Verizon would do absolutely nothing to change this.

Verizon has no choice but to black out the game on both SNY and ESPN3 because TWCS has the exclusive right to show it there. I don't know if Time Warner Cable Sports is even offered to other providers, but this looks like a way for TWC to keep these games for only its subscribers.

Ahh, thanks for the info. ...and another reason to hate Time Warner.

I stumbled across this link- http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/verizon-fios-tv-now-bringing-syracuse-university-sports-to-c...

Did anyone here check channel 1 when looking for the game? It looks like any local game that's blacked out from a regional network or ESPN3 in upstate NY is shown on FiOS channel 1.
