Commercials consistently cutting into Programming Content! Fix it!

Subject says it all. Consistently, local and very low resolution commercial content is being cut into programming on a number of stations (Discover, History, National Geographic among others). Normal commercial breaks occur, but in the middle of show programming, local commercials break in. This is NOT the way these shows are edited. Content is missing. Cuts out and back in in mid-sentence! Half of these are VERIZON ads! There are times when a 52 minute program is literally being broken into 2 1/2 minute chunks. It's unwatchable. Expensive and unwatchable.

I get why it's happening (I'm in broadcast myself), so I don't need a a Verizon employee to tell me it's someone else's fault. I need a Verizon employee to tell me that the problem is being addressed, and now! If my rates are going up, I expect to see every second of the programming, not more advertising time randomly cut into the programming. Cable is starting to look like a much better deal with problems like this.

With respect, friend, I'm talking to both Verizon and forum members. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one experiencing this, and there's no reason for other users not to know that someone else here encountered it. Do a search and you'll see others over the last few years reporting it. And on occasion a Verizon employee chiming in, attempting to resolve it. I'd hope Verizon monitors these boards and has some interest in whether or not their users are having problems with their service. Problems that can be corrected once pointed out in a public forum.

Again, with respect, there's plenty of room on the internet, friend. If you don't want to read my post, just don't read it! There's no reason to tell me to take it elsewhere for a generally ineffective phone call to support after sitting on hold. If Verizon is interested in customer satidsfaction, they'll do something about it.

I don't understand the offense on his reply to you. He wasn't denying what you said is going on, he was simply pointing out a fact. These are peer to peer forums so no, no Verizon employee will see your post. Only the mods who run this forum and other Verizon customers will.

The forum specifically states at the top "The Verizon Community Forums is where customers help other customers.
If you need assistance for specific Verizon account issues, please contact us."

If you want your complaint to land in the right hands then you'd be better off writing a letter to Verizon personally about the issue or filing a complaint with the BBB.
