Is it possible to backup your dvr content using a external hard drive for example. I know a hard drive can be utilized as storage what I am asking is can the content that is already on the DVR be copied to the external storage?
Good question because I asked a similar question regarding burning to a dvd
No.
Copy protection prevents it in either scenario.
I lost an entire series when I replaced my DVR. I am planning to buy the entire series; I believe copyright laws don’t apply here. Believe the caveat is only for personal use.
