DVR freezing up and sound distortion.

I thought I was the only person having this problem. This forum shows me VZ has a serious problem. I've had the freezing since late last year. I am now on my third DVR and it's the same old, same old. I've check all connections, whatever and occurs frequently. It has to be a problem within the boxes. Last tech told me the box they were sending out would be a NEW one.I'm going to send back the DVR and replace it with a Standard HD set top box. I hate to do it but why pay extra money  for one  faulty DVR after another.
