I have a VMS1100 DVR set top box as my main unit, and when I power the unit on it runs through the initial startup routine - checking the connection, loading the guide, etc.. with the red bar running across the bottom of the screen. They sent me a replacement box, and no change. A tech came out to the house yesterday, said it was a signal strength issue and replaced the splitter in the basement near the ONT and redid the ends of the coax going into the box. He started it and nothing happened - it worked fine. Then last night and again today we had the same issue again.
I'm on release APR-4.1 (Gallia), build Number 08.12.6. I called Verizon for the fourth time, and they still have no clue. I'm ready to go back to DirecTV.
Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and scroll down the page to an area titled "My Support Cases." You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name located above your post, or at the top right of this page.
Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. At the top right of your support case there is a gear icon which provides a drop down menu with support case options. Click that and choose "subscribe."
